Pranav Vemula, PhD

Pranav holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences, with a master’s specialization in pharmacology. He earned his PhD from the University of Otago, New Zealand researching altered brain arginine metabolism in tauopathies such as Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia and progressive supranuclear palsy. His current research involves investigating antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) – mediated therapies in mouse models of dementia. When he is not engaged in research, Pranav enjoys pursuing his other interests which include singing and reading.
