Amber Malcolm, MSN, RN, ACNP-BC
Nurse Practitioner
Amber has been working with the Miller Lab clinical team as a nurse practitioner since 2016 where she sees patients in the neuromuscular clinic and also serves as a co-investigator on ALS clinical trials at Washington University in St. Louis. She completed her undergraduate nursing degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2006 and then worked as a nurse in the Neurology/Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis for seven years, earning national certifications for both neurology nursing (CNRN) and critical care nursing (CCRN). In 2013, Amber completed her Master of Science degree in Nursing as an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Goldfarb School of Nursing. She then spent three years as a nurse practitioner in the Surgical/Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Amber enjoys being able to work first-hand with ALS patients both clinically and in a research setting.
