Cameron Lowery

Cameron Lowery

Clinical Research Study Assistant II

Cameron obtained a B.Sc. in Biology within three years from Historically Black College Harris-Stowe State University (May 2023). While a full-time student, Cameron worked as a research assistant, cheerleader, and student leader, eventually serving as the Student Government Association President during her senior year. Her passion for research developed naturally via involvement in neuroscience projects and summer internships in clinical/translational research. Her favorite project thus far concerned The Effect of Cannabidiol on the Peripheral and Central Nervous System of Drosophila melanogaster. Cameron’s efforts also led to co-authoring her first scientific publication “Down syndrome and Alzheimer’s disease: A scoping review of functional performance and fall risk.” Cameron strives to obtain an MD-PhD, with which she’d remain an advocate for health equity and underrepresented minorities. She is incredibly eager to contribute to creating a safe space for patients with ALS in the Miller Lab.
